Available Dogs/Upcoming Litters

For information on the Japanese Chin (Spaniels), please email. We only have Chin babies perhaps every 2 years.

Shibas: We have two litters planned; both girls were bred in mid July, which means that puppies will be born mid to late September. If you are interested in one of our puppies, please email and I will send you an Application Form, that is the first step!

Unless you are purchasing a show potential dog, all dogs are on a non-breeding contract, which means they are to be spayed/neutered between 9 months and 1 year of age. Any dogs we have available over that age, will be spayed or neutered prior to leaving us.

We generally have 2 or 3 litters of Shibas a year, and will retain one out of each litter to grow out and evaluate as show and breeding dogs. We have very strict criteria for this, and sometimes puppies don't mature to meet those criteria. This can be anything from height, to colour, to eye shape, to temperament (some dogs just don't like the noise and attention), and we will then have them available as companions.

* Price for our Shiba puppies on a non-breeding contract (must be spayed/neutered between 9 months and 1 year) is $1500CDN. This INCLUDES CKC registration & transfer fees, taxes, veterinary record, current vaccinations & wormings, SunoJo puppy care manual, starter package (food, blanket, collar, toy), 30 day full return, 2 year limited warranty on genetic health (hips, knees, heart & eyes) and lifetime support.

We have a red female, born Feb 18 2010, available to a pet home in our area (Vancouver Island or Vancouver area). Please email for more information.

Also available on a co-ownership to a show home, is Can Ch SunoJo's The Only Fish In The C, or 'Fish' as he is known. He is a very bright happy boy, loves people, and full of energy. He is a group placing dog in Canada, and has just started being shown in the US, going Reserve Winners Dog at the Evergreen Specialty (completely out of coat too). Sire is Can Ch SunoJo Devil N The Deep Blue C, and dam is Can Ch SunoJo's Sea Goddess. Fish is our 5th generation (all being hip and eye certified), and is a Bob grandson. He is too closely related to our current females to use for breeding, but I would like to retain breeding rights for in the future.

Upcoming Litters (due mid September)

sire:SunoJo's No Punin Ten Ded "Pun" dam: Ch. SunoJo Sea Goddess "Sedun" This will be Pun's first litter, and Sedun's last. Sedun is the dam of Ch. SunoJo Devil N The Deep Blue C, Am/Can Ch SunoJo Sea Umi Go, Ch. SunoJo The Moon and the Sea, and other pointed youngsters. After this litter, Sedun will be spayed and available to a select home. Pun is a son of "Ten", the Japanese import who has produced some amazing kids. Pun himself just won Winners Dog at the Evergreen Specialty 2010, and is maturing beautifully.

sire: AmCh 'LeeRoy' (sorry, have to dig out his registered name!) dam: Am/Can Ch SunoJo's Sea Umi Go "Umi" Umi is Sedun's daughter, and was Best Opposite Sex at the 2009 Canadian National. LeeRoy is a lovely Japanese import owned by Leslie Engen, and I have been watching him and his kids for the past several years (he is 9 years old). Those who follow the conformation ring will be very familiar with LeeRoy and his accomplishments. Thank you to Leslie for the opportunity to do this breeding.

Litter #2 BORN MARCH 16, 2010 2 red girls, 1 red boy We are very fortunate in being able to lease "Chieko" from Akashima Shiba Inu (thank you Katja!). Chieko is an American and Canadian champion, and was Winners Bitch at the 2008 US National (handled by our daughter Rowan). The sire of these pups is our Bob, more formally known as multi BISS, International BIS, Am/Can/Int Champion Ryuukyuumaru Go Gold Typhoon JP.	just born!
